THE DELI

2024

The Deli is a beloved Karachi restaurant that had not been renovated for quite some time. The owners wanted their upstairs dining area to receive a facelift that retained a few elements of their original design, namely their bright dining chairs, existing tables and iconic lattice ceiling.

To achieve the best possible results we revisited the floorplan, updated the colour palette, improved the lighting and refined the overall theme.
Taking inspiration from colours found in Cote d’ Azur we focused on muted yellow, tangerine, mossy green and bougeanvillia pink. This allowed for most of our existing dining chairs to be retained. Custom banquette seating with built-in lighting lined the walls, which opened up and modernised the floorplan, allowing for ease of movement. Custom panelling was enhanced by art deco style mirrors that echoed the existing lattice ceiling.

These changes created intimacy and cohesion while retaining the serene environment The Deli’s owners have worked so hard to cultivate over the years.
